Today more than ever, public surveillance solutions are becoming an essential tool in enabling Police to manage crime hotspots in the public domain and to investigate incidents and crimes that occur within them.

Typical areas of concern include our public transport, trains and stations, supermarket car parks, night club precincts, shopping malls, parks, laneways, walking tracks and many more. The scenarios all vary and demand versatile, smart surveillance solutions in order to provide the maximum intelligence and evidence to Police. The safety of business operators, the travelling public, residents and the wider community is paramount.

The EYEfi Public Safety Solution (PSC) provides a very flexible monitoring solution by utilising a pre-built and pre-configured camera unit that easily attaches to a power or street lighting pole, requiring only power delivered via mains or using our solar panel solution. As with most EYEfi products, network connectivity is via NextG and the units automatically connect into the EYEfi Cloud solution where the cameras and associated footage can be easily monitored and reviewed by Police.

EYEfi's Public Safety Camera (PSC) includes;

  • EYEfi Remote Gateway Device and an external slimline active GPS/3G antenna

  • 240Vac or solar power Options.

  • A selection of compatible Axis IP High Definition network cameras, including Advanced Gatekeeper and Object Tracking technology

  • Edge storage technology, with Cloud based redundant storage

  • Can be easily deployed onto existing poles or other structures

Each EYEfi installation utilises EYEfi's ultra low-latency NextG™ Remote Gateway Device (RGD) which manages the site equipment and network connectivity. The RGD exchanges real-time spatial video and telemetry information between the remote sites and the core EYEfi® host application in Telstra’s carrier-grade Internet Data Centre facility.

The EYEfi RGD has been developed to minimise latency and maximise performance making it ideal for demanding video applications. As a result, the responsiveness of EYEfi cameras and field devices connected to 3G networks is second-to-none.

For more information see the product datasheet section on the right of this page.

EYEfi® SPARC (pat pending) is the core technology that powers the EYEfi Cloud system, with unsurpassed spatial capability.

Unlike any other system available today, EYEfi SPARC is an established cross-agency, multi durisdictional solution that is already fully integrated into the government networks and spatial databases. The system uses fixed or mobile cameras and devices and can play a wide variety of roles all year round by adding tangible value to decision making before, during and after an incident or event.

EYEfi SPARC turns cameras located in the field into position targeting and environmental monitoring nodes that can be used 24/7, 365 days a year as part of a national public security and asset management system. EYEfi portable trailers, vehicle based systems, fixed tower, standalone camera sites and our sophisticated spatial video software all have an important role to play in protecting our national assets and most importantly, the community.

The EYEfi Navigator software is a familiar and simple to use web browser tool, designed to assist fire tower operators, incident management centres, command and control, in-vehicle response teams and remote or mobile users. Any number of operators can establish a fire’s location using a single camera, within seconds.

An "alarm system for the nation", EYEfi® SPARC also utilises EYEfi's proprietary very early assessment (VEA) capability; enabling the system to automatically monitor and react to environmental triggers and then autonomously notify users via the software, sms or email. This capability strengthens early warning systems and allows authorities to communicate accurate and timely information to areas of the community most likely to be affected by a fire or other incidents.

EYEfi SPARC is a proactive tool that opens up entirely new opportunities for collaboration, intelligence gathering and information sharing.

Save on cost and collection times with the Smart Sensor system for waste management. Automatic monitoring of bins provides timely details of when they are full and enables optimal route planning for collections; reducing collection times, transportation costs and ensuring unsightly overflowing bins are a thing of the past.

Smart Sensor - The innovative design enables class-leading flexibility when mounting the device in all manner of enclosures and difficult to monitor places.

  • 135°Variable angle dual ultrasonic sensors (patent applied)
  • Rugged thick walled, high impact ABS Polycarbonate

  • Reliable GPRS communication

  • Provides fill, temperature, tilt and device status

  • IP66 & IK10 rated enclosure

The Smart Hub web based application is the centre for your decision making, route creation and analysis.

The platform provided by EYEfi, as a cloud service, maintains comprehensive information on all containers being managed: their type, function, capacity, status, location and a history of events.

This information is stored in the cloud and is automatically updated as the Smart Sensors report changes to their status.  The Smart Hub management application can generate alerts if, for example, a bin is full, a fire is detected or a bin is overturned.

Bin monitoring frequency, temperature alarm thresholds, position update checks on mobile bins are all user configurable by simply logging in to Smart Hub on your PC, Smartphone or tablet.

The Smart Collect Smartphone app is used by collections vehicle operators to receive jobsassigned from Smart Hub. Information on suggested routes and estimated job duration are supplied. While completing jobs, the driver has the ability to report back to headquarters. If for any reason a bin has a problem, Smart Collect users can notify the Smart Hub supplying photographs and notes allowing the operations manager to determine what action to take.

  • Receives bin collection routes from Smart Hub

  • Collects data from the field including photos and driver notes

  • Reports unsuccessful empties

  • Alert notifications

  • Navigation between bins

  • Very simple to use and optimised for minimal clicks
